March 2017 DC Report

Hi Everyone,
A big congratulations to Sarah Fredricksen who is representing our club at the State Championships in Dressage on Saturday. Sarah will be competing at Grade 2 and everyone is welcome to cheer her along at PCV Park at Glaysdale. Good Luck Sarah.
Greta Brown completed her final leg of her C Cert at Seville in Feb on Tosca who was sound and full of beans. Sounds like Greta rode beautifully and passed with flying colours. Congratulations Greta and Tosca.
• Please remember to enter your results on our events diary on the website.
• The list of approved helmets is on the DC board. Please take a few minutes to check your helmet meets the new standards.
• Our Junior committee is holding a freshmans evening this Friday night starting at 4.30 with 35cms. Please come and support the members and help out as much as you can even if not riding. We need hands on the BBQ, selling tickets and gear check.
• We are still trying to find a games training time that suits most members. Please make sure you see Lars or myself to help choose a suitable time.
• Please be punctual to your lessons. Last rally we had one of our awesome instructors waiting for her group for over 15 minutes while they snacked in front of the canteen. You may not be able to join your group if not punctual. Please organise your breakfast before you ride or have a quick snack on the way to your lesson.
• We now have a new gear check system that accumulates points over the year. Please have clean gear, uniform and ponies at the start of the day.
Tip of the Month: Worm your ponies this time of year with a boticide. My vet recommended Stategy T or Equimec as worms are becoming immune to some other pastes.

Cheers
Carolyn
