It’s that time of year again, with our AGM being held at the May rally. This is a time to reflect on the year and to elect new members onto the committee. Our treasurer, Sheridan, is standing down after doing the job for the past few years. If you have a head for numbers and would like to be more involved in the club please have a chat to myself, Sheridan or Carolyn about this. If you don’t want a specific role but are happy to be involved in the committee please come and see us, all welcome!
PCAV are bringing in a change that will impact all parent supporters. From the 1st of July it will be compulsory that parents / carers of riders (anyone listed on the membership form) as well as anyone on the duty roster (grandparents that do canteen for example), have a Working With Children’s Check. This is to make our clubs safer places for our riders. The process of getting a WWCC is free and Pony club will require a copy of your card. You can get an application at the post office or more information at this website: http://www.workingwithchildren.vic.gov.au/home/applications/

If you already have a valid card or have a police check for work (eg. Teacher VIT registration), we will just need a photo copy of your current card. If you do not have the application in process, or a valid card by the July rally your child will not be able to ride. Thanks in advance for your cooperation. Nean Tatnall will be our club’s WWCC coordinator. She will have her laptop and scanner at the next few rallies to start a database of cards. If you have any questions about this please ask Carolyn, Nean or myself.
Enjoy the ride,
