February DC Report

Happy New Year to Everyone! It is great to see so many members being busy and out and about so early in the year.

Our Pre Summer Royal Inter Club Challenge was a fantastic success. The weather was perfect and our Hurstbridge riders won the day overall. We now have another beautiful sash in our Clubrooms. Our riders did a fabulous job and represented the club as a very strong team. I saw lots of champion rosettes on our horses and riders and many ribbons as well. Congratulations to all who attended. Thank you to Karen and Rachael for organising another show day for our kids to attend.  A big thank you to all other parents who helped on the day and of course to Stella our canteen angel.

We also had great representation at the Summer Royal Show with Keira and Emily Barton, and Daisy Bryson attending. Daisy came home with a fantastic 3rd and 4th, Keira two 3rds ,a fourth and a fifth, and Emily a 1st, 6th, and a top ten finalist sash. Congratulations girls. An awesome effort.

Please remember to enter all your results in our events diary.

We have C Certificate theory starting this week at the clubrooms with Kylie Parker. Seven of our riders are nearly ready for their assessment in April. Please remember to bring your books.

There is also a K Certificate information evening being held at Ringwood Pony Club on the 16th February. Please see me if interested. It is a great certificate to complete for candidates 14 and over, and follows on from the C Certificate.

If you need to be graded or re graded, we now have a request form for you to complete. This will allow us to plan time and have the appropriate courses and instructors on hand for your assessment. Please see me or email if you require a form.

Please remember to sign the attendance book BEFORE you ride and check the list of upcoming events on the notice board. The attendance book is always on the table outside the clubrooms. Our groups and rally plan are always on display on the board outside at the end of the clubrooms.

Sarah Fredrickson is representing our club at the State level in dressage over the weekend of 21st/22nd Feb. We wish her all the best with the whole club behind her. Well done Sarah. Have a great time.

Tip of the month: Have a go at a new discipline. You may be surprised how much you enjoy it and how well you go.

See you all soon
