The silly season is here and as we reflect on the year that has been I would like to take this opportunity to thank our committee for all their hard work over the year. Volunteer clubs such as ours can’t operate without the support and time of the parents who are willing to put their hand up and help out when needed. We have had a lot of new members join us this year, and I hope that you have felt welcomed into our great club. The camp, dressage day and winter woollies all provided a chance for our riders to experience different types of competition and riding challenges. Thank you to all who took part in these events.
Now to December…. Our December rally has traditionally been a gymkhana style day and this year will be no different. There will be more information to follow on what the day will look like, but we are starting at 9am with our turnout class so make sure you come with clean ponies ready for some fun!
In the evening is our end of year celebration night, where we come back to pony club (minus the ponies and riding gear) and have dinner together, give out some awards and have a fun night celebrating all that has been achieved during the year. There will be some form of activity/ entertainment to help kick off the fun.
This year we will be doing dinner slightly differently. We will be ordering in pizza and ice-cream for everyone. You will be asked to contribute $10 per adult and $5 per child – someone will be collecting money during the day at pony club. Awards will start at 6pm and pizza will arrive at 7pm. Feel free to bring some nibbles to share for the beginning of the night, as well as BYO chairs, picnic rugs, and drinks for adults. Soft drink will be available for the kids.
Look forward to seeing you at the December rally,
Enjoy the ride.
