September DC Report

Spring is here adownloadnd lots of our riders are out and about competing. We had a great team at St Andrews on Sunday for their Show Jumping Day. The courses had a few surprises, were beautifully designed and included jumps at maximum height/spread. Amy Cornell did a wonderful job and won champion E grade rider. Other competitors included Greta Brown, Sarah Hall, Olivia Wynter, Jess Harrison and Nicola Tsoilis. Xavier Dawson and Lilly Harrison  were wonderful competing in the open 30cm. There were clear rounds by some and a few challenges for others.

Eloise Barton was placed after a double clear at Friends of Werribee EA and Keira Barton, Emily Barton and Catherine Walton all had a great day at Ayr Hill bringing home many ribbons. Well done to everyone who competed.

Please remember to enter all your results in our events diary on the clubs website.

The “C Cert” group have a practical theory this rally. Could you all please bring a hoof pick, float boots or padding and bandages, a tail bandage and a rug. If you don’t have any of these items I’m sure your group members will share. Also remember your books.

Our dressage day is fast approaching. If you have not been graded and wish to compete  please see me early on Sunday and we can organise grading. It will be a fantastic day and a great way to start competing at your home ground.

Please remember to sign in at each rally before you ride and write your horses name clearly for me as that is the name that will appear on your pony club attendance card. If leaving early please remember to also sign out.

Camp forms are due back this rally. A very exciting programme has been organised. Forms can be handed in to myself or Julia Walker.

Tip of the month: Time to spring clean! Pull all your tack apart, clean with saddle soap and then oil. It’s a great idea to do this before each rally.
