August DC Report

What an exciting time in our Club! We have a new rally plan, a new instructor, a camp coming up and lots of our riders have finalised their D and D Star certificates.

Congratulations to everyone who competed at our Winter Woollies Show. It was wonderful to see so many of our riders having a great time with big smiles on their faces. I saw plenty of ribbons on our Hursty riders! Remember to enter your results on our website in the Events Results Diary.

Our website has the updated rally plans and groups so remember to check and let me know if you are unable to attend the rally (0404 861 715). The PCAV website also lists all upcoming events if you are interested in competing.

We are really pleased to have Lars Hegmann joining our team of Instructors. Lars is a very experienced rider who has competed in all disciplines at Pony Club. He has been part of the Victorian  SJ and Games squads and even made the State Games Team at age 11! His passion is games and it will be very exciting to see our riders learn lots of new games and skills. Lars currently teaches weekly games lessons and equitation. Please say Hi to Lars and make him feel welcome.

Please remember to wear your Pony Club Uniform including either cream/fawn or navy jodphurs  and come clean and happy as Kylie will be taking some photos for our website.

Tip of the month: Watch out for Spring grass coming through. Check your ponies weight and feet regularly for signs of laminitis. Our farrier likes to trim every 5 weeks over spring to keep an eye on those hooves.

Love your ponies
