We are certainly into the colder nights now and hopefully the sight of bot eggs on our equine friends have nearly disappeared. Don’t forget to rug your ponies, worm them, give extra feed and lots of hay. Despite there being some grass in the paddock, the grass has limited nutritional value and our ponies need to have access to hay most of the day.
At our May rally we will hold our AGM. We are looking forward to seeing new faces on the committee to add some fresh ideas and energy to our friendly pony club. Please consider joining the committee and contributing to your child’s sport.
The C Certificate group will have their first theory session in the afternoon and please if you don’t have your C book you can purchase them online from the PCAV shop. Bring your books to this rally as we have an instructor booked to start you off. We hope to finish off the D & D star of other members and then we can award the certificates at the June rally.
I will have the sign on sheet for all members to sign on and have just updated this list with new members. It has been absent at the last couple of rallies but I have a new list which includes certificates held. In the clubhouse will also be a list to pick your duty month for canteen & grounds. Please put your name down for 2 rallies for the year.
Equine dentist Mark Burnell will attend the June rally. Please book your self on the list inside the clubhouse or email myself to book a spot for your pony. Your ponies teeth need filing at least once a year and it is always good to have this done before the winter months. The cost will be between approximately $60-80.
Out & About
Well done to riders who have been out and about, Miranda and Abigail who went to Riddell’s Creek and went double clear XC & SJ.
Well done to all our riders who braved the wet weather at the Mooroolbark clinic and the Tooradin clinic. See you at the May rally.
Happy Riding, Andrea Barton
